It's that glorious time of year, when people lose their Christmas spirit and cheer and turn into greedy, whiny, needy and just plain old rude customers. I generally enjoy my job but their is one month out of the year where I would rather eat my brothers dirty gym socks then work a Saturday all by myself. Gotta love Fedex.

Reading Harry Potter for the 100000000000000 time. I swear I learn something new each time I read them. And everytime I jump into the story its like the first time. Always in suspense. LOVE IT!

Devins Wedding

I forgot to post pictures of my good friend Devins wedding..... naturally I forgot to take pictures of the bride but these will have to do.

not a lot....

I don't really have a lot to say today but I feel I have neglected my blog except for the occasional picture. I haven't had anything extraordinary happen, life has just been going at a steady pace.... I just wish it would slow down. I will be 25 in 5 months and that is too close to thirty for my liking and that faint ticking I heard a year ago is now a full on air horn that blows every time I see kids, attractive men or a really cute house. Good thing I have bluebell ice cream to comfort me in these dark times; and I of course have awesome friends who help to keep me sane and let me vent whenever I need it and Mr. Darcy any time I feel blue I pick up my copy of P & P read a few lines and I'm good or I pop in the movie and watch it till my eyelids go heavy and I drift off into sleep and have amazing and unrealistic dreams about men in firemen suits on white horses.

I discovered yesterday that I have knack for making wreaths. What do ya'll think???

2 days!!!!

Thanksgiving is in two days and I couldnt be anymore excited! My Mom my Brother and his girlfriend are making the long trek to Utah to come and see me, so Im gonna whip up a big ol' feast in their honor! And not only are they driving cross country but they are also bringing me BlueBell icecream too!!! BlueBell is something you can typically only find in the south and it is the absolute greatest ice cream ever!!!! Im so happy. I will be posting pictures of my awesome spread so dont worry!

Meteor Shower

So there is supposed to be this wicked awesome meteor shower tonight and the plan is to go to sleep immediately wake up at 3 am make some hot chocolate and head up the canyon fully prepared to make a thousand wishes. I wish I had someone to go with me, I think special moments like this are meant to be shared with those you love friends, family or someone special.

Footloose

So I watched "Footloose" the other day with my roommate and I decided to write a list of pro's from watching it; there are no cons to this list cause lets face it Footloose is amazing and shows Kevin Bacon at his finest. So here we go.

1. The only time a guy looks cool driving a vw bug.
2. his wicked awesome hair.
3. inspiration to do sweet dance moves.
4. the urge to say "jump back" in response to almost everything.
5. The dance scene at the end.
6. After I watch it I listen to nothing but 80's music for a week .
7. SJP was slightly cool and not slutty.

The reason I wanted to watch it was because my very good friend Paige sent me this book and Kevin Bacon is kind of like a main theme in it (sounds weird, but its a good one) and the reason I was able to watch it is cause I inherited it and about 60 other movies from my BFF Krissa.

Its the most wonderful time of the year!

So this Christmas is going to be a little bittersweet for me, it will be my first Christmas away from my family. I know it will be tough, but it had to happen sooner or later. So since I cant see them for Christmas some of them are coming to see me for Thanksgiving! This year is going to be a pretty frugal year as far as presents go, but thanks to Martha Stewart and my own creative genius I have some pretty awesome homemade gifts that I cant wait to get started on! I have about a million ideas for the women in my life but completely stumped for the men.... so I am totally open to suggestions!!!!! I will be taking pictures of my craftiness but not posting till after the holidays for obvious reasons! lol.

so I wont mention names and I will pray that he never reads this. But I absolutely love the feeling of a new crush. Anyone who knows me knows that I crush on boys easily and frequently. There is just something magical about it though. The first time you see them and butterflies dance in your stomach, your ears burn red hot when they talk to you, the way you want so badly to seem cool, collected and whitty but all that really happens is an endless stream of word vomit, how excited you get at the thought of running into them. Oh I how I love these feelings. My Mom has always told me that I will forever be 16. I sure hope that she is right. Cause I gotta tell ya this isn't so bad.

By Myself....

Lately I have been needing a bit of me time. I know what your thinking Im single I have no children so all my time is me time right? Well sometimes I just get so wrapped up in my day to day things work, friends, church etc. I never stop to smell the roses. You know what I mean? So this morning I woke up early when on about a two hour walk down the Provo River trail which is absolutely gorgeous this time of year, then I came home threw my hair in pigtails and brushed my teeth, grabbed a yummy pumpkin bagel with honey almond cream cheese and Hot Chocolate from Einstein Bros. then headed up the canyon for some one on one time with myself.

 

 While I was exploring I took about 100 pictures (not kidding) and I just looked and observed talked with the Big Guy, read my Scriptures and just enjoyed being alone which is entirely unusual for me, normally I crave social interaction.

Happy Halloweeeeeeeeeeeeennnn!!!!!!!!!

As you can see I was Cloud 9 for Halloween... I told you it would be epic. My costume was a huge hit! you cant really tell in the pictures but my hair was teased up super big and I put cotton balls in it to give it the appearance of clouds. I had more make up and glitter on my face then 10 drag queens combined.

You know I love Halloween, it really shows people creative side. It's so neat to see all the costumes people come up with!!

Halloween!!!!

So I have decided on my Halloween costume and it is going to be EPIC!!! I will not reveal it just yet, but Saturday my YSA Ward is having a Halloween party/dance and I will make sure to take lots of pictures! So far to get in the Halloween spirit of things, I have made cute Halloween hairbows for myself and friends, attended an awesome orange/black themed party, watched The Monster Squad a dozen times, made caramel corn, carved a pumpkin with a friend and eaten a ton of candy lol. What have you done to get in the Halloween Spirit??????

Fortunes...

One of my many quirks is that I collect fortunes from fortune cookies I eat then I later share the advice with friends whether or not they want it. From my collection I have learned these few things... sometimes they make sense, sometimes they are stupid, fortune cookies are super yummy and I spend entirely too much money on crappy Chinese food. So in effort to pass along the wisdom of ancient Chinese philosophizers I have decided to share these fortunes with you, not all at once just one every other day or so till I run out or keep adding more. who knows.

Today's fortune is: "An alien of some sort will be appearing to you shortly!"

I like that they said that with enthusiasm.

I keep my fortunes in this little treasure chest I got from the Cayman Islands.

Open Mic Night

Tonight my friend James sang at an open mic night at this place called Velour down here in Provo. He did awesome.. I knew he was a man of many talents but I didn't know that singing was one of them! I have only been to a couple of  open mic nights before and I should do it more often, there is something about the ambiance and the atmosphere. You are nervous and excited for the first timers on stage, love seeing repeat artists who bring forth an array of emotions  humor, sadness, love, fear, loneliness and happiness. I loved being there tonight surrounded by kids my age who have a love of life and there to support everyone friend or stranger. It was truly an amazing experience..... I never knew I could have such strong feelings about an open mic but there is something so raw and enigmatic about it. If you have never been to one I suggest that you put it on your to do list.

Bonfire!!!

Tonight we had a bonfire for my church's Family Home Evening and it was such a perfect night for it.... I nice cool and crisp autumn evening you could see every star in the sky and your nestled between peaceful mountains in the canyon. I had the privilege of hanging out with friends and making new ones and yes there was an abundance of attractive men in attendance. :)
